Inspiration
Okay, so once again on the research hunt. I found this video which is a title sequence for 'Kiss Kiss Bang Bang' This is the type of style I wish to match, colours are dark and shadowy and the type flows with the imagery. Great piece ...

Style
Style - big issue! What is it im trying to produce? Im going to try and produce a typography based motion graphic with subtle imagery to help communicate the message to the viewer. I will use pure dialogue from my selected movies and possibly a single backing track to relate the set. Below are some motions i found during my research which have bits and pieces i like the style of and which have begun flowing ideas for myself. Enjoy ..
DVD Feature Menu research!
Below im taking a look at different styles which are used by designers to communicate to the viewer what type of film they are about to watch. Not only this but the set up on how you can explore extra options on the dvd and how it is made obvious to the viewer etc.

Above: Screen shots from the DVD title menu's on Coach Carter (left) and Lucky number sleven (right). Coach Carter has a distinct style which i feel would look good for my work. It also reminds me of work which I previously made at College so i feel it would be a strong style to follow. Lucky number sleven has a 3D style and very nice soft colours, although i do not feel that would suit my theme of Guy Ritchie films.

Above: Snatch - one of my favorite films which was written and directed by Guy Ritchie. This alone gives me and idea for colours, type faces and style.

Above: Revolver - yet another of Guy Ritchies british gangster films which shows the dark, shadowed colours, type faces, and style. Not only this, but it gives me a better idea of direction and composition. I feel confident heading towards the design stage of this area of the work.

Film Season: Guy Ritchie
So, as a part of my research and give you (my audience) and idea of which films i will be using and making clips for, below are the trailers for each film. In his career he has made 6 feature films, one shortfilm and a film commercial for BMW.
Sherlock Holmes (2009)
Rock'n'Rolla (2008)
Snatch (2000)
Lock, stock and two smoking barrels (1998)
Revolver (2005)
New Brief
Okay, se we have been set a new brief - well been handed two and chose to chose one to be exact. Once again were going to be working with motion graphics using Adobe After Affects but this time we can use type, image and sound. however we are not allowed to use video. (ready made footage) We had the option of producing a 30 - 50 second clip to advertise for a program of a top ten best/worst eg: cars.
However i chose the second option which is called movie season. We have been asked to produce a series (5) clips at 10 seconds each to advertise a movie season of our choice, eg: horror. However i have gone with the British and decided to do my clips on Guy Ritchie films.
